You’re laying in bed beginning to wake up, you’re eyes pop open and what’s the first thing that pops into your mind; probably getting ready for the day; “Right”? You grab a cup of coffee and something to eat (if you eat at all) and start getting ready, in essence, putting on your clothes and making mental plans to achieve the task ahead. In the back of your mind there’s something bugging you, but you can’t quite remember it, so it’s out the door, in the car, and “world, here I come”. Seems like a normal beginning for most people BUT, “what’s missing”?!?!?, something critically important. Then it hits you! Then comes the moment (probably prompted by God’s Spirit) you remember what it was you forgot; “to put on God’s Armor”, something no Christian should ever be without. Possibly you have never given any thought to this however, go to the Book of Ephesians Chapter 6, and read verses 10 – 18, then it hits you, “for crying out loud, no wonder I’ve been fighting and losing battles, I’m not prepared for each day”! Wearing God’s Armor is critical, essential, for each day of your life. Granted, you are God’s child, and nothing will change that, but the “Victory” of each day is dependent upon if you have put on God’s Armor. Think about it for just a moment!
Do you think Satan wants you to live a life of “Victory” each and every day, “Absolutely not”! The ultimate war for our souls has been won on Calvary’s Cross through Jesus Christ as Lord and nothing will ever change that. Even though the “war” has been won for our souls there will be battles to fight and you must make the decision to fight God’s Way and be Victorious or do it you way and lose those battles. You can be assured by putting on God’s complete Armor and keeping it on, we are assured of winning those battles, being strong in Him, effective, and powerful for Kingdom work, to take His Gospel to the ends of the earth and seeing His Kingdom grow, “Praise His Name”! Another important aspect that is essential and that is to put all of it on, not just part of it. Some might say, “I have put on the Helmet of Salvation and that’s all I need”, think again! Go back and read Ephesians 6: 10 – 18. Does it say, “just put on the helmet of Salvation”? No, it says emphatically to “Put on the Whole Armor of God that you may stand against the wiles (temptations of Satan)”. If God’s Word says, “put on the whole armor”, then “PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD”, no questions asked. As an old saying goes, “just do it”.
So, there you have it, the answer to be “Victorious over Satan’s temptations and live a life of “Victory” or to live a defeated life without it. What is your decision?
In Jesus’ Name,
