Have you ever given thought to how effective your life is now? If you died today, what kind of legacy would you leave? Would you like to leave a legacy you would be proud of? Have you ever considered becoming a “Warrior for Jesus Christ”? Read Ephesians 6:10 -18 to discover how you can become “God's warrior”. Then go to Jeremiah 29:11-14a to learn He only wants His very best for you.
As God’s warrior, He has given us everything we need to be “Victorious” in living for Him; however, we will have battles, struggles, and trials, no doubt about it. We all need to be properly equipped and prepared to fight and win those battles, and we can by continuously wearing the “Total Armor of God”!
There is another thought we need to consider, and that is “others; What can we do to help others? What can we do for them?
About the first part of 2023, I sensed, in my spirit, the Lord leading us to change and broaden our focus as a ministry. That led us to reach out to disabled children and seniors in hospitals, health care institutions, nursing homes, and assisted living communities. These precious people are dependent upon others to help and take care of them. This brings a thought to mind: who takes care of them and their needs? Of course, there are professional people who are paid for certain levels of care, but there are certain needs beyond “professional care,” and that’s something you and I need to consider. You might ask yourself, “What can I do to help these precious disabled people?” As you go about your routine day, do you ever give any thought to these people lying there in their beds or sitting in their wheelchairs with nothing to do but suffer?  First, thinking about them is the first step in doing something for them. If you were one of these special people, would you appreciate someone who is not paid to do something for you? You might be asking, “What can I do”? Activities, that’s right, activities, something they can “DO” to keep their mind off their disabilities. You can encourage and help them at the same time.  “What kind of activities?” you might be asking, to which I reply, “various arts, crafts, paint by number sets, coloring books for children and adults, toys, plush animals, activity books, things they can enjoy
.
We also give Bibles to these children and adults.  Many of these activities are “spiritually themed,” which feeds their hearts and lives.  These and other activities help disabled people to “enjoy doing something” besides focusing on the loneliness and pain.
As a veteran from the Vietnam era, we reach out to our Veteran community with military Bibles and other Spiritual resources. Be sure to keep them in your prayers, whether active or retired. We also reach out to the police force, firefighters, and emergency workers. Stop and think just a moment what these brave men and women do for us, risking their lives to help and defend us.
These are the things that “Total Armor of God Ministries” is doing and providing. You can have a part in the ministry by “giving of yourselves.” You can do so by donating money, where we will purchase these items in bulk at a discount. This allows us to “give more”. We can’t do it all by ourselves. We need your help and support. Please help us by giving of yourselves to these precious people.
Now we come to the time where we need you to “make a decision” to do something for these people. Once again, if you were one of these people we are ministering to, would you welcome help and encouragement? We all know the answer is a resounding “YES”! We have outlined above what our ministry is “doing” and invite you to be a part of helping and being a blessing to those in need. We are constantly looking and praying to expand the ministry. This makes me think of a verse to an old hymn, “make me a blessing to someone today”; how would you like to “be a blessing to someone today”!?
